In Mother, Liden considers her own practice by selecting a single black and white photograph of her mother to reproduce thirteen times. Shown in the original black and white as well as awash in tinted colors, upside down and side by side, the lone image’s ambiguity is in stark contrast to the ubiquitous title of Mother.
